Every place has its own beauty and uniqueness which makes it a dream destination for tourists. The Philippines is very blessed with wonderful places. I may include Bacolod City as one of them.
Here are some things that make Bacolod City, a beautiful place.
Maskara Festival

One of the biggest and colourful events that are held in Bacolod City is Maskara Festival where most tourists gather and witness the colourful event. Maskara is derived from the word “mass” meaning “many” and “kara” meaning “faces” which means Festival of Many Faces.
Aside from being called “The City of Smiles”, Bacolod is also known for its rich tourist spots.
One of which is the famous mansion “The Ruins”, also known as the Taj Mahal of the Philippines. It is an ancestral mansion located at Talisay, just outside Bacolod City.
The Ruins

The Ruins is perfect for its amazing view, weather, and Instagram-worthy ambience because of beautifully decorated gardens and breath-taking view that makes you feel like you travel to a different country.
San Sebastian Church

Considered as the most famous church in Bacolod City, San Sebastian Church is one of the top list destinations in Bacolod. If you wanted some peace and need to talk to God for a while, San Sebastian Church is the place to go. Its elegant architecture and eye-catching structure made it very unique.
Lakawon Island

Thinking of a summer getaway with your family and friends? Dive into Lakawon Island and enjoy the relaxing pure white sand sea breeze! Lakawon Island is a pure white beach resort that’s considered as a hidden gem in Bacolod. It is expanding into a bigger, and more luxurious resort in the heart of Negros that makes tourists come back and relax.
Carribean Waterpark

As they say, “enjoy life while we’re young.” Located in the city of heart Bacolod, Caribbean Waterpark and Resotel is a resort for kids and adults who enjoys fun adventures and activities guaranteed for all ages. Kids can also enjoy and explore a pirate theme park that is suitable for them. So grab your kids and enjoy an adventure that awaits you!
Bacolod Delicacy Treats
Bacolod is indeed a very good place to visit not only because of its tourist destinations but also because of its delicacy treats.
Piaya
First of all, Piaya!
Piaya or Piyaya is a famous Bacolod delight treat that’s obviously number one in Pasalubong centers. Even in Manila, we always tend to see one in some pasalubong stores and we can’t get enough of it because of its delicious flatbread and tasty flavour that comes with Ube, Macapuno, Mango, and Chocolate. Who can resist a sweet Piyaya, right? Yum!

Bacolod Chicken Inasal
Who can’t forget the famous Chicken Inasal? Not me! There’s a lot of Chicken Inasal that’s been established in malls today but Chicken Bacolod Inasal is something that you should try when you visit Bacolod. With its juicy chicken meat and marinated skin, you will definitely come back for more! The famous Bacolod Chicken Inasal is the number one delicacy to Bacolodnon people. Bacolod’s Chicken Inasal uses a special marinade to their chicken as it’s cooked over to an open flame.
Where to try Chicken Inasal?
Aida’s stall in Manokan Country often tops the food establishments offering the best Chicken Inasal in Bacolod.
Guapple Pie
Guapple Pie short for Guava plus Apple combined into pie, neat, right? It is also considered as a sweet delicacy in Bacolod that’s also famous in Pasalubong stalls, second to Piyaya.
The pie’s name is simply a combination of these 2 fruits, with the delicious result being the crumbly pie with guava and apple filling with just the right amount of sweetness.

Half moon Cakes
A light and fluffy sponge cake with a creamy custard is what describes Half Moon Cakes that’s also a sweet delicacy treat in Bacolod that makes you take back to your childhood moments and think that Half Moon Cake that you bought when you were a kid.. nostalgic isn’t it? But this sweet delicacy is something that we couldn’t resist!
